Version 1.3.3
We are excited to introduce to you Uprise Version 1.3.3. This release brings you feature enhancements in both the Practice Management and EHR, as well as addresses a number of bugs that may have impacted your practice.
Admin
Bulk Import Frames: This enhancement will allow importing multiple frames from the Master Catalog to your Uprise catalog at one time.
Help
User Information in Support Ticket: When you create a support ticket, the logged in user's information will be pre-populated in the ticket so you don't have to complete this information manually. However, you can type over the information if you want different contact information to be included with the ticket.
Messaging
Referencing Patients without a Patient Portal:You are now able to write a message to another user and reference a specific patient, even if that patient does not have a patient portal set up.
Close Button on Long Messages: We have restored the Close button for all messages so that it is not hidden, even in the event that the message is particularly long.
Message Header for EHR Messages: When a message is sent to the Front Desk from the Orders Segment in the EHRs, the Message column in the Messages Center will now show the task to be performed. Click it to read the message.
Patient Profile
Document Date: When you upload a document, if the "Date Received" or the "Document Date" fields are set to a day in the past, the correct date will now be saved. Previously, it reset to today's date.
Last Patient: Now when you have a patient record open on the Patient tab, then go to a different tab and come back, that patient's record will remain open on the Patient tab.
Access Health Record: You are now able to access a patient's EHR from the Patient tab, provided your login has the correct permissions. This button is greyed out for users who do not have the correct permissions.
Patient Portal
Updated Patient Email: Any emails going to the patient from the Portal tab in Uprise will now go to the current email address on file for that patient instead of defaulting to the original email.
Scheduler
Default View Update: After saving an appointment the calendar will now reset to the time that the appointment was set for rather than resetting to 12:00 AM by default.
Prescription
Basecurve and Diameter on Contact Lens Rx:The basecurve and diameter values are now visible on the prescription. These fields are now displayed when impored from the EHR because the Contact Lens Type field is automatically populated when the Contact Lens product is selected in the EHR.
Rx Order
Multifocal Contact Lens Order: You are now able to import a Multifocal Contact Lens Rx from the Exam into an Rx Order. You no longer have to enter the Rx Order details manually. This is specific to the Add field. Previously, if the Add contained text in the EHR, it wasn't transferred correctly on the PM.
Dist. PD: Uprise no longer requires the Distance PD for a Balance Lens.
Claims
Box 23 Support:You are now able to select from the following list of qualifiers for box 23:
- Prior Authorization: G1
- Referral Number: 9F
- ICN/DCN: F8 (ICN= Internal Control Number) (DCN=Document Control Number)
- CLIA number: X4 (CLIA = Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments)
When you select the qualifier for box 23 it appears on the claim summary in both edit and read-only views. However, it won't display in box 23 when the claim is printed. The printed claim only displays the free text field of box 23 (this part is unchanged from previous releases).
Recreate Claim: The Action Menu in Claims now lists "Recreate Claim" instead of "Resubmit Claim", as this action only recreates a claim for you to then submit. It does not submit the claim and therefore shouldn't indicate that it does.
New Exam
Long Exam Type Name:You can now enter long names for your exam types without it skewing the layout of the New Exam Dialogue box.
Exam Provider: You are now able to change the provider for an exam, after the exam is created. This allows you to schedule and start an exam for a resource, such as a room, and set the provider during the exam for practices in which the next available doctor sees the next waiting patient after they were pre-tested.
Chief Complaint
Chief Complaint Label: The primary chief complaint is now automatically selected if only one exists.
PFSHM
Select All Others as No: Each section of the PFSH questionnaire now has a button at the end allowing you to set all responses to "No" at once. Uprise will then label everything that does not have "Yes" selected as "No".
Device Integration
"Too Much Data" Error Fixed: You will now no longer see an error saying that too much data has been loaded.
Keratometry
Rounding Errors: Keratometry readings will no longer display incorrect rounding or incorrect values due to rounding.
CL Fitting
OD Basecurve: You can now enter an OD basecurve after changing the lens type.
Refraction
Erroneous Displays: You will no longer see erroneous errors in the Refractions, i.e. when changing the Add or seeing multiple BC / Diam. fields. Legitimate validation errors will still be displayed as appropriate.
Exam Printout
Print Date: The date showing incorrectly has been fixed; you will now see the correct date displayed.
Full Visit Note Printout Enhancements:
- The Exam visit Report will now display 'Patient Occupation'
- Date/Time and Test Type category is displayed for IOP records
- In the Physical Exam the dilation method is displayed
- Annotations Images in the Physical Exam can be printed and attached
- Special Procedures now display reason descriptions along with the reason

CCD
Legal Authenticator Updated: The Legal Authenticator field in the CCD no longer lists a time by default, making it more suitable for instances in which the CCD is generated prior to the Exam being signed.
Reports
Negative Numbers in Meaningful Use Report: We have corrected the Meaningful Use Report that was resulting in the generation of negative numbers.
