Version 1.3.29

We are excited to reveal Uprise Version 1.3.29. On top of many feature enhancements, we’ve addressed a few bugs that may have impacted your practice.   Release Date: 2-20-2018

Patient Information Updates

Questionnaire

  1. The Patient Questionnaire email that is sent 3 days prior to an appointment now displays the correct appointment date and time. The UTC time in the Uprise database now converts time to the time zone of the customer.
  2. Customers can now uncheck questions on the Questionnaire and patients will not get an error when trying to open the Questionnaire from the Patient Portal or their email.

Other

  1. When adding an Insurance with an "Insured Party Contact" You can now remove a Title or Suffix on a patient record.
  2. Within Patient Insurances and in Appointment Scheduler we removed a dropdown button next to the Insurance Address. This functionality was not necessary.
  3. When creating a new patient, no sex is pre-selected.

Rx Orders, Invoices and Claims Updates

Rx Orders

  1. Rx Orders will now default with the patient's vision insurance instead of private pay.
  2. The inventory on hand for frames now populates as expected on the Rx Order.
  3. Inactive products from the catalog for Frames and Spectacle Lens will no longer appear in the Rx Order.
  4. Lens packages no longer display in the "Lens Package" field unless the dropdown is used to select them.
  5. The Rx Order printout now prints the Billing Account Number.
  6. Special instructions are no longer removed after the Rx Order is submitted.
  7. The plus power (+) now displays on the Contact Lens Rx Order print out.
  8. Removing the "Near PD" on an Rx Order does not throw an error and the order can be saved

Invoices

  1. An issue was resolved that caused an unexpected error when selecting a Return Reason that had been reactivated in the Admin list and then used in the Invoice.
  2. We fixed a bug that prevented users from going back to "Set Fee" amount if they clicked "Pay" before entering the fee.
  3. Now, if payments are generated on an invoice after editing an Rx Order, the "Create Date" does not change. This fixes the issue of having different dates reported on the Day Sheet and the Totals Receipt Report.

EHR Updates for 2015 Certification

As part of the certification process for Uprise to be a 2015 edition certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT) the following updates have been made:

  1. New fields have been added to Vitals in the Exam. This information also transfers to the CCD.

  1. There is a new Plan of Treatment free text box under Problems in the exam. This information also transfers to the CCD.

Purpose: This section represents the clinician’s conclusions and working assumptions that will guide treatment of the patient.

  1. You can now select which sections you want displayed on a CCD. There is a new button on the CCD form called "Select Sections". You can also use the up and down arrows to reorder the CCD sections.
  1. Immunizations now include a linked code from the National Drug Code Directory (NDC)
  2. The EHR and CCD now support multiple ethnicities that are defined in the PM.
  3. You can now enter a patient's full middle name in their demographics.
  1. There is a new group (section) in the exam called "Health Concerns." This is a free text box and can be added to the exam by clicking the "Select Groups" button. This information also transfers to the CCD.

Purpose: This section contains data describing an interest or worry about a health state or process that could possibly require attention, intervention, or management. A Health Concern is a health related matter that is of interest, importance or worry to someone, who may be the patient, patient's family or patient's health care provider. Health concerns can be medical, surgical, nursing, allied health or patient-reported concerns

  1. There is a new Goals free text box under Problems in the exam

Purpose: This template represents patient Goals. A goal is a defined outcome or condition to be achieved in the process of patient care. Goals include patient-defined over-arching goals (e.g., alleviation of health concerns, desired/intended positive outcomes from interventions, longevity, function, symptom management, comfort) and health concern-specific or intervention-specific goals to achieve desired outcomes.

Other Practice Management Updates
