3.1.190 - June 17, 2025 Release:
- No Practice Management updates at this time.
3.1.190 - June 17, 2025 Release:
- The code Z90.01 ICD can now be used when "Findings reviewed only for one eye" is selected in a Physical Exam documentation.
- The Patient Portal now features a new message type: "Request for Restriction." These messages can be viewed in the Uprise Home > Messages tab, and is intended to allow a patient to request restrictions for certain uses and disclosures of protected health information (PHI). For any such requests, users must manually perform the requisite actions to restrict information:
- Two additional fields now appear in Past Family and Social History portion of exams for Pregnancy Status and Hunger Vital Signs:

3.1.190 - June 17, 2025 Release:
- Resolved a defect that failed to update data in box 33 of insurance claims (CMS-1500 forms) after making edits to those data fields in Admin > Setup > Insurances. Updated information will now appear in box 33 of claim forms when such edits are made.
- Resolved a defect that incorrectly displayed outstanding patient and/or insurance balances following a user-initiated transfer of responsibility and return on an invoice.
- Resolved a defect that prevented certain custom contact lenses to fail to print correctly on prescription printouts generated from within the Uprise EHR.
- Resolved defects to improved the workflow of importing optical orders that had originally been created with an assigned insurance payer that has since been inactivated at the patient and/or organization level:
- Inactivated insurances will no longer persist when imported to a new order.
- The "Insurance" field will instead follow default functionality to display the patient's highest-ranked currently active insurance, or to Private Pay when no active insurances are associated with that patient.
- After importing, the Insurance field can further be updated and will reflect properly once applied to an invoice.
- NOTE: There remains a known issue with Contact Lens orders that are imported, which excludes the Insurance field from being able to be edited. Currently in such cases, the user must update the order's insurance field BEFORE importing the previous order's details. This issue, and the ability to edit additional details on the order after import, will be resolved in a future release.
3.1.189 - June 5, 2025 Release:
- Resolved a defect that prevented an updated fee or "Open Price " details from displaying in the catalog grid after user update.
- Resolved a defect that prevented users from being able to void an unapplied Pre-Payment. If the applied prepay amount is less than the total prepay amount, the remaining prepay cannot be voided, but can be refunded.
