We are excited to introduce to you Uprise Version 1.3.2. This release brings you feature enhancements in both the Practice Management and EHR, as well as addresses a number of bugs that may have impacted your practice.
Overall
Lock button broken: The Lock button will now lock the session correctly.
Remain on Same Location After Refreshing Browser: In multi-location orgs, after refreshing the browser, Uprise will remain on the same session location as you were on before refreshing, instead of returning to the default location.
Admin
Better Description of Lens add Ons: The lens add-on catalog will now display more accurate descriptions instead of abbreviations. For example, instead of seeing "AR-ADVAN-GOLD", you will see "ZEISS ADVANTAGE GOLD".
Messaging
Sending PM Messages with Apostrophes: You are now able to send messages within the practice management portion with apostrophes without encountering and unexpected error.
Patient Profile
Appointment Sorting: Appointments on the patient summary page and the transaction page will now be default sorted by date/time in descending order. Clicking any of the header labels will also sort each category by ascending or descending order.
Rx Order
Seg Height Missing on Printout: The seg height will now show on all accepted quote Rx Order Printouts.
Returning Dispensed Rx Orders: You are now able to return any dispensed Rx Order by choosing the Cancel button on the order to begin the return or exchange. In particular, when contact lens orders from inventory are ordered, they are automatically marked as dispensed. This will allow you to cancel and return those orders, if necessary.
Extra Digits in Base Curve Value: Uprise will no longer add extra "0"s to the base curve value.
Sphere Alignment Issue in Printout: The Sphere value will now be correctly aligned when printing a contact lens Rx order.
Recording Initials in Lens Personalization: Uprise will now limit the lens personalization field to 5 characters to avoid getting an error message.
Adding Notes to Posted Orders: You will now be able to create and save notes to orders that have already been posted to the invoice.
Choose Two Different Contact Lens Types: You will now be able to choose two different contact lens types in an Rx order without encountering a validation error.
Unit/Pack now displays on Printout: The Unit/Pack value (for example a 30 pack of contact lenses versus 90 pack of contact lenses) will now be displayed on all contact lens Rx prinouts to help with ordering.
Invoices
Return/Exchange after Catalog Price Changes: When changing prices in the catalog and then making a return or exchange, the invoice will display the correct refund amount and new balanace due.
Co-Pay Errors in Rx Orders Resolved: If an order has insurance responsibility with a co-pay, you will now be able to record the appropriate co-pay without getting the error "Co-pay cannot be larger than total fee".
Processing 100% Discounts: You will now be able to process 100% discounts on invoices without encountering any error messages. For example, selection "% Original" and applying a 100% discount will discount the item by 100%.
Multiple Notes in Invoices: You will now be able to write and save multiple notes on an invoice.
Inaccurate Balanaces After Editing Line Items: Now, when you edit a profressional service to have a higher or lower fee, the insurance and patient responsibility will accurately reflect those changes.
Claims
Service Location Code: The location code in the electronic format of the claim will now match the location in the printable CMS form.
Member ID in Claims Tracking: The member ID field in the claims tracking page will now populate the appropriate information for the patient's insurance.
Box 33 Improvement: The Billing Provider information for Box 33 will now be defaulted but can be changed from the claim summary via drop down field if need be.
Last Name Formatting: The last name field will now accept hyphens without error.
Downloading x12 File: You will now be able to download the x12 file for "Open" claims without any error messages.
Overall
EHR Search: The search function in the EHR is now improved. Patients with middle initials will now be searchable without having to enter the middle initial and search results will be more accurate, resulting in less scrolling to find your patient.
Patient Summary
Duplicating Vitals: Now, the vitals information in the EHR patient summary section will show only once.
Exam - Binocular Vision
Recording Phoria Test Values: You can now enter or select the value then the base in/base out/ortho without the value erasing.
Exam - Refractions
Incorrect Over Refraction Calculation: When you record an over refraction, Uprise will correctly calculate the refraction when copying to Trial or Final Rx.
Contact Lens Rx Add: You're now able to enter "Low", "Med", or "High" in CL Rx Add.
Diameter Copies to Final Rx: The diameter value will now be included when you copy to Contact Lens Rx Final.
Exam - Physical Exam
Scroll Bar Issue: The scroll bar is back; you will now be able to scroll in the window to see all diagnoses.
Exam - Coding
- Procedure Field Now Required: In the coding section of the exam, the procedure field will now be required in order to avoid creating invoices with blank or incorrect codes. Instead of deleting the codes for lines you do not want to include, you will now be required to delete the line altogether to avoid creating blank lines.
Exam - CCDs
General Vitals in CCDs: When clicking the Global Import button, the general vitals section will now be included in the CCD/Clinical Summary.
Exam - Printing
Printing in Full Audit Mode: When printing an exam in Full Audit Mode, you will now be able to see the Lens Type and Product for all Contact Lens Rx Trials; previously, these values were being omitted.
