We are excited to introduce to you Uprise Version 1.3. This release brings you feature enhancements in both the Practice Management and EHR, as well as addresses a number of bugs that may have impacted your practice.

Practice Management System Features & Enhancements

Overall

Display more Search Results: Previously only a few rows would display in search results, making it necessary to scroll repeatedly through records. Now 25 rows will display for Quotes and Rx Order Tracking, 50 rows for Admin-Catalog, and 100 rows for Inventory and Claims Tracking.

Benefits

Expand "Other Details" Section: Previously when new benefits were requested electronically, code details were not displayed properly. Code details will now be displayed along with explanation.

Rx Order

Order Quantity not Displaying on Rx Order: Now, the quantity and product will be listed on the order.

Error Message for Frame Brands with more than 20 Characters: If a Frame Brand has more than 20 characters, the first 20 characters will be sent and no error message will appear.

Invoices

Progressive Lenses: Previously, progressive lenses would generate V2781 and the appropriate V23XX code on the invoice. With this release, V2781 will be generated along with the appropriate V22XX codes, which is determined based upon the prescription's sphere and cylinder.

Invoice Receipt Format Updated: Invoice printouts have been redesigned for clarity and readability for the patient. Invoices will show date of service, summary of charges, and the patient's current balance (for self and dependents). Totals for Patient Responsibility and Insurance Responsibility will be displayed. Next scheduled appointment (if applicable) will also be displayed on the invoice.

Order Number Displayed on Tracking Page: The supplier order number and source (Electronic vs Manual) will display in the Rx Order Tracking page.

Claims

Post Entire ERA at Once: All claims linked to an ERA will be displayed, allowing you to post the entire check amount at one time. This will increase efficiency and accuracy. This feature is not yet available for EOBs, but will be in a future release.

Frame Configuration Attribute Bridge is now Displayed throughout the System:You'll now be able to edit and view this field.

Additional Lists: For your convenience, we've added more lists that you can customize (Card Type, Optical Prescription Usage, Other Payment Types, Order Cancellation Reason, Product Pricing Reason, Inventory Adjustment Reason, Revenue Stream, Suffix, and Title).

Additional User Profiles & Customizable User Profiles:Uprise comes with a list of standard roles you can choose from. A new role has been created: Technician Admin (Can Sign Exam) with the ability to access EHR Tab, sign exams, do med entry, and access all reports. You can also create your own user profiles with specific access rights to fit the needs of your practice without having to contact Uprise Support. Example:You might want to set up an Office Manager with Med Entry rights. By setting up your own custom profiles, you won't have to keep recreating profiles each time you need a profile that is not standard in Uprise.

Configure

Reorganized Configuration Layout :Now, the categories have been reorganized and grouped, making it easy to find what you're looking for.

Unable to Configure or Select Exam Codes SO620 and SO621: Now, you can configure and manually select these codes during an exam.

Trabeculoplasty Associated with Problem Code H52.0 by Default in the Treatment Code Mappings:This mapping has been removed.

Configure Chief Complaint Categories:You can add, edit, and delete Chief Complaint Categories for your practice.

Configure Exam Print Templates and Generate Letters to Other Providers:You can create templates, generate letters from those templates, and specify which sections of the exam to include for sending to providers, patients, etc. These letters will be generated as a PDF file.

Message Center

EHR Message Center Notifications: Now, you'll be alerted with the number of new direct messages you have without having to go into the Message Center to check messages.

E-Prescribing Notifications: This new feature allows you to see E-Prescribing message notifications separately from the regular EHR notifications

Patient's Full Name Cut Off in Patient Sidebar: Now, patient's full name is displayed, making it easier for you to find and select the patient.

Filter Current Patients List by any/all Resources: Now, you can filter the current patient's list by any/all Resources (Example: Provider).

EHR - Pre-test

"Doctor Recommended Return" added as a Chief Complaint: Previously, you couldn't document a patient returning (recommended by doctor); you had to select "Other." Now, you can select this as a Chief Complaint.

HPI Displayed when Selecting "Other" Chief Complaint: When selecting "Other," the Chief Complaint window now displays Complaint, HPI, and Tiles, making it easier for you to document complaints.

Review of Systems  Pertinent Items are Displayed: Now, all items pertinent to the exam (whether or not the finding is normal or abnormal) will be displayed; creating a more comprehensive record.

Patient Exam - eRx

Professional Credentials now Displayed on Medication Rx: Provider credentials (such as MD, DO, OD, etc.) will now display and print on the Medication Rx.

Patient Exam - Refractions

Prism Values not Included in Summary Views: Now, you can see prism values in the refraction summary view.

Choose Lens Design and Lens Material Categories under Recommendation: You can now configure and recommend a Lens Design and Lens Material category within a spectacle refraction rather than an actual product.

Contact Lens  Select all as Normal Added to Observation Tile: This makes it easier to document your observations without having to click several places.

Soft Hybrid and Soft Hybrid Multifocal: We've changed this so that these lens types are displayed as "Hybrid" and "Hybrid Multifocal", and all historical refractions will be updated as well.

Patient Exam - Physical Exam

Difficult to Access secondary Viteroretinal Degeneration ICDs: These ICDs have been added to the Sub-Tissue category in the Physical exam, so you no longer have to click "Advanced" to access them.

"Physical Examination Finished, Everything else Reviewed as Normal": This button has been renamed to state "Physical examination finished, everything ophthalmic reviewed as normal". When this box is checked, it will mark all items that do not have negatives recorded as normal except for Systemic.

Patient Exam - Plan and Management

SNOMED Codes Associated with ICD Codes: You can map SNOMED Codes with ICD codes and set default mappings. If no SNOMED is populated for an ICD code, you'll be alerted, which is important for CCD communications.

Exam Findings Visible in a Signed Exam: If an ICD code is added to the Assessment section of the exam, and is designated as a "Finding," it will remain visible once the exam is signed, so you can see the findings from both a signed and unsigned exam.

Assign Tasks to Front Desk Staff: Now, you can assign tasks from the EHR to front desk staff. When "Yes" is selected for Schedule, Recall, Referral, Laboratory, Special Tests, or Surgery Order Types, a task is created and sent to the PM Message Center.

Patient Exam - CCDs

Missing Categories from Clinical Summary: Functional Status, Plan of Care, and Instructions are now included in the Clinical Summary and CCD. Now, you can edit what is displayed in the CCD.

Treatment Codes Moved to Plan of Care & now Included in CCD: Now, CCDs will include treatment codes from the plan of care section of the exam. These will only be visible on the Human Readable CCD.

Information Recorded in PFSH was Appearing in the CCD Under Functional Status:This has been fixed so that this information is not displayed under Functional Status.

CCDs  Care Team was Displaying as Performing Provider: Previously, all providers in their care team were displayed as a Performer. Now, this is dependent on the description of the CCD. On "Summarization of Episode Note", all care team members will be pulled in by default. On "Summarization of Encounter Note", the preforming provider is default. (These can be changed manually, if needed.)
