May 2023 Release Notes
We are pleased to present Uprise release notes for May 2023. This month, we’re fixing bugs and improving performance across the Uprise platform, as well as adding some new features.
3.1.166 - May 22, 2023 Release:
- We've improved the usability of your Uprise interface by relocating the Beamer notification bell to the right-hand side of the primary navigation bar:
- Click the Beamer bell for updates on what's new in Uprise
- In a previous release, users' ability to edit a prescription order after posting was eliminated to help maintain the accuracy of auditing both orders and invoices. Users will now be able to edit certain fields by manually updating RX power(s) and/or measurements, or adjust them by importing a prescription. No new products can be added to the order, and if any edits would trigger additional fees, logic is in place to prevent the update from appearing on the invoice (thus protecting invoice integrity.)
3.1.166 - May 22, 2023 Release:
- The user interface for the EHR > Practice dashboard has been refreshed, and both the Generate Report and Report History Tabs have been updated:
- When making changes to a patient exam using the "Unsign" function, Uprise will now indicate any exam section in which modifications have been made:
Click the "Modified" marker to see a summary of changes to that exam section
- The EHR > Message Center tab has also been refreshed. New emails can be created by clicking the "New E-mail" button:
- We've also refreshed the look and feel of our reconciliation workflow windows:
- And we've updated the CCD style sheet to reflect the latest interoperability standards:
3.1.166 - May 22, 2023 Release:
- Resolved an issue that prevented users from importing all configurations of certain contact lens product lines.
- Resolved an issue that caused some posted remittances to list insurance payments received twice on the same invoice.
- Resolved an issue that prevented users from viewing all insurance benefit details in the Patient > Insurances tab.
- Resolved an issue that prevented balances transferred from Private Pay to Insurance from updating the payer field on an invoice. Such transfers of responsibility will now reflect the correct payer on the invoice an on the Aging Report for Insurance Balances.
- Resolved an issue that returned an error message when users search for standard contacts in Admin > Catalogs. Contact lenses can no longer be loaded into Uprise catalog if all mandatory search fields are not completed.
- Resolved an issue that caused incorrect timestamps to appear on RX orders when dispensing status fields are updated. The correct timestamps will now appear.
- Resolved an issue affecting some users that caused the "View EOB" button to not appear on ERAs in the Claims > Remittance tab.
- Resolved an issue that caused inactive frame products to appear in the Inventory Stock on Hand & Valuation Report. That report now only displays data related to active products, while on-hand counts are still displayed in the Products > Inventory tab when selecting product status "inactive."
- Resolved an issue that prevented some remittances from posting when To Be Applied value does not match the total of insurance payments.
- Resolved an issue that prevented an original payment from reverting to void on the date of reposting when using the Edit Remit feature. Such edits will now correctly track the void status of the original payment on edited remittances.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the ability to edit CPT/HCPCS for users who have toggled "on" the Editing Claim CPT feature.
- Resolved an issue that prevented users from assigning benefit/allowance details to some contact lens orders from the "Price Order" screen.

- Resolved an issue that prevented all user participants from being visible in the To and From fields of task-type messages in the Home > Messages tab.
- Resolved an issue that prevented users from accessing the correct pack size options when Trial/Diagnostic Lenses option is selected on the prescription order menu.
