We are excited to reveal Uprise Version 3.1.2. On top of many feature enhancements, we’ve addressed a few bugs that may have impacted your practice. Release Date: 01/24//2019
- On the EHR Summary tab of a patient’s chart, in the Active Problems Portlet, the "diagnosed-on date" now displays on the far right.
- You can now add custom "Treatment Notes" for Treatment Code Mappings under the EHR Exam Configuration. Custom Treatment Notes will display in the Assessment/Plan of the Exam. Adding Treatment Code Mappings
- You can now mark "wet" or "dry" for an Autorefraction.
- In the Visual Acuities section within the vitals window the following buttons have been added:
- 20/20 All s
- 20/20 All c
- Clicking '20/20 All s' will auto populate all visual acuities standard fields as 20/20
- Clicking '20/20 All c' will auto populate all visual acuities corrected fields as 20/20
- We added a full screen exam view button at the top of the exam.
- In the Refraction History window (Exam> Refraction section> History Icon) you can now filter on different Refraction Types.
- In Binocular Vision section a ‘CT ortho D/N’ has been added. Checking this box will populate CT Distance Alternating (Phoria)- Horizontal and CT Near Alternating (Phoria) to Ortho.
- On the EHR Summary tab of a patient’s chart, there is a new ‘Notes’ Portlet to add comments for a patient.
- "Procedure/Special Test" notes now appear in the exam view so you don’t need to click into the test to review the notes.
- Your practice logo will now print on an Rx Order printed from the EHR.
- In the Exam, listed orders above 15 can be viewed by clicking the “More” button to load additional lines.
- Special characters now display in exam printouts.
- Adding the Z01.00 assessment in the physical exam will auto mark as "Normal" for Accommodative.
- A global import of CCD data from an exam will import all vitals including IOPs.
- We fixed a bug that cleared CD Ratio values when checking off "All other remaining ophthalmic conditions reviewed as Normal"
- Now, Codesafe shows 92310 with a green checkmark when linked to vision ICD-10s (e.g. H52.13)
- Previously, Medicare did not have a LCD policy for MANY or Most CPT codes which caused an inaccurate "red X" indicator in Codesafe. Now, Codesafe will display a Yellow indicator in this situation.
- In the problem details window, the "Note" section has been renamed to "Treatment Notes".
- For the following refraction types (SP Rx Presenting, CL RX Presenting, Retinoscopy, Autorefraction, Wavefront, Cycloplegic) a "20/20 All" button has been added. When the button is clicked, a "20/20" value populates in all DVA and NVA fields.
- In the Exam, the title for “Assessment” has been changed to "Assessment /Plan"
- In Vitals when a horizontal OD or OS value is entered it will copy the horizontal CD ratio to the Vertical Ratio.
- Now, "Get Device Data" will list the most recent device readings at the top in descending order.
- A home phone is no longer a required field to create a CCD.
- In the Physical Exam, you can now select both the upper and lower eyelid for annotations.
- Under the Eyelids category in the Physical Exam, the diagnosis 'Facial myokymia' (G51.4) is now a selectable diagnosis.
- The "Cl Rx Trial" printout header now reads "Contact Lens Trial Prescription".
- The diagnosis 'Anatomic Narrow Angle' (H40.031-H40.033) is now available for 'Iris/Chamber' in the physical exam section.
- Now, when values for Pachymetry are added in a procedure, the values are also populated in the pachymetry under vitals.
- In the refraction section of the Manifest we changed the default for astigmatism to populate H52.223 "Regular Astigmatism Bilateral" under assessment.
- When adding a refraction, if only a cylinder AND axis are entered and saved, Sphere will auto populate as Plano (0.00) if left empty.
- In the Physical Exam section below the "All other remaining ophthalmic conditions reviewed as 'normal' checkbox, a "Default dilation" checkbox has been added.
Clicking the checkbox will auto select the default dilation values:
- Input the current date/time
- Location = OU
- Med, Technique, and Route = pull from Configuration tab >Exam Configurations > Default dilation
- We added the ability to print multiple Rx Orders at one time from Products > Rx Order Tracking.
- We fixed a bug on the Day Sheet report that was populating data in the invoice column as the created date and not the posted date.
- We corrected an issue that caused only partial payments to show on the Day Sheet Report.
- We updated the discount modal in the invoice to run faster to eliminate system time outs.
- We removed the "Print Order" button when you are editing an Rx Order. This is for an Eyeglass order only.
- If a user has Edit Payments/Refund privileges, we added the ability to edit and or void a Write-Off from within the invoice to correct any mistakes that may have been made. How to Edit a Write-Off after its been Applied
- We added a "Marketing Referral" field to Patient Details. This information also displays on the "Patient Demographic Report."
- You can now edit payments from the Invoice after they have been saved. Clicking the (+) to the right of an invoice line opens the inline ledger and edits can be made by clicking the Payment hyperlink.
- If a patient has a zero balance on the invoice, the check boxes within the “Discount” window will not display.
- We added a "Forgot Password?" link on the Uprise Login screen. Clicking this will generate an email with a new temporary password to log in.
- For all transfers (Ins->Pat, Pat->Ins, Ins->Ins), you can transfer any amount up to the total charge amount.
- When you import an Rx Order for Spectacle Lenses, the current optician and provider will be retained.
- We identified and fixed an error that caused a Lens Package Price to not reflect correctly in the invoice.
- We fixed a bug that caused an invalid email error when attempting to send the Questionnaire to a patient who had a valid email address.
- You will no longer receive an exception error when posting a Secondary Claim remittance after the Original Claim remittance was deleted.
- Now, if you receive a payment from a patient that is greater than the account balance, you can post the full payment to generate a credit on the patient account.
- The HIPAA and Financial Authorization dates and status remain intact when an emergency contact is added to the patient record.

On the Intake Questionnaire, when any data is entered or selected for any of the Emergency Contact fields, the following fields are required to be filled and valid:
- Emergency Contact Name
- Emergency Contact Relationship
- Emergency Contact Phone

We updated the Receive Inventory modal with the following:
- Default cursor is now in the SKU/UPC/FPC field
- Default Inventory Adjustment Reason is now "New Shipment"
- Receive Column is now editable
