Version 1.2.4
We're so excited to introduce to you Uprise Version 1.2.4! In our most recent release, you will find a number of new and important practice management and EHR features. In addition to this, we've also fixed some bugs and made improvements throughout the software.
PM Messages
Messages & Notifications: A number displayed on top of the envelope at the top of the screen now indicates how many unread messages you have, without requiring you to open the Inbox to check for them. PM Messages is used primarily to communicate with other Uprise users or to send patients basic messages whereas the EHR Message Center is used to communicate Protected Health Information and Direct messages.
Patient Profile
Quicker Way to Add New Insurance: You can now add additional insurances for the same patient without having to go back to the insurance listings page.
Claims
Quickly View Invoice References on Claims: You'll be able to see which claims lines match to the individual invoice line, along with insurance balance vs. patient balance.
Claims Rejected by Insurance: Allows you to update the status of claims that have been rejected by insurance (manually submitted claims, claims that were electronically submitted, but you received an EOB, etc.).
Change Insurance Company for Secondary Claims: When you file a secondary claim with a different insurance policy, you can now simply update the original claim with the secondary insurance company and submit.
Running Claim History: You'll be able to view the amount that you submitted for the original claim and the secondary claim on the line items of the invoice (professional services) so that you have a running history.
Patient-Filed Claims: You can provide patients with a printout of the CMS 1500 claim form with coding when they are going to file a claim on their own.
Prescription
Keratometry Readings: Keratometry readings for final Contact Lens prescriptions will transfer from EHR to Optical/Checkout. Any final contact lens prescriptions or orders will show the keratometry readings.
Rx Orders
Custom Contacts: In addition to Eyeglasses, Standard Contacts, and Frames, you can now create, edit, and track Custom Contact Rx Orders.
Custom Contacts - Manifest Rx: The manifest refraction that is documented in the exam will transfer to any custom contact Rx Order. Note: This only works if the manifest was used to create the contact lens final in the exam.
Print Frame Only Orders: Now you can create Rx Orders for just a frame, with no prescription or lens product required.
Optical/ Checkout
Patient and Insurance Balances Displayed on Invoice: The patient's balance and insurance balance will now be displayed in Optical/Checkout.
Products
Inventory Management: You can manage inventory for Frames, Standard Contact Lenses, and Retail Products for your location, view Quantity on Hand (QOH), track inventory, and make adjustments. If inventory products are returned or exchanged, the QOH will be adjusted automatically. Inventory products will be listed on the invoice and QOH will automatically adjust once the invoice is posted.
Patient Portal
Display Time and Time Zone for Saved Questionnaires: The exact time that a patient filled out a questionnaire will now be added, enhancing the accuracy of history and records.
