October 2021 Release Notes
We are excited to reveal Uprise release notes for October 2021. This month, we’ve added content updates in the EHR and PM as well as fixed some bugs that may have been impacting your practice.
Content Updates
The Dx Codes have been updated for the year, and the codes take effect October 1st. You can access the full list of codes that are added/removed/revised in the PDF below. We have also provided the link where Uprise got their ICD updated codes from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd/icd10cm.htm

Content Updates
These features will be released 10/14/2021
- Users can now set a default frame source in Admin settings.
- Insurance Aging Report data can be exported without formatting.
- An optional preference has been added to allow users to choose whether they track providers for retail products and other fees for sales reporting.
- Updated Import Insurance Screen. How to Add an Insurance and Setup CMS Defaults.
- Box 17 on the Claim is now a drop down list so that users can select a referring provider instead of typing it in. How to Add a Referring Provider.
- Patient marketing referral now supports users documenting a specific patient or referring provider. Under Patient Details > Marketing, users can search for existing patients or select a referring provider from the drop down list. The list of referring providers is the same as above, How to Add a Referring Provider.
- The Patient Demographic Report will show referring patient/provider name.
- Shipping charges will now appear on the invoice. How to Add Shipping Charge to Invoice.
- Shipping Fees have been added as a category to the Production Report so that users can track how much is being spent on shipping.
- Each report is now listed under Admin > Users > Profile so that each user can have specific access to each individual report.
A number of updates have been made to the Patient Portal:
- Patients will now get confirmation when a document has been electronically signed.
- The email sent to patients to get portal access/fill out the questionnaire will now include the Location name so it's not mistaken for junk mail.
- When sending a message from Uprise to the patient portal, users can now link an attachment. Note the file size limitation is 40 MB and this feature does not apply for internal messages.
- Uprise now allows for contacts to be linked as authorized representatives so that they can have portal access, previously only patients could be selected as authorized representatives.
- Patient portal accounts will now show a disable option to inactivate but not delete the portal, and a delete to permanently delete the portal
