Where do I Find Patient Education Materials?
Once the final refraction and physical exam are entered in the exam; orders, assessments and patient counseling will auto-populate. The patient counseling section is linked to the assessment codes. Recommended patient education will be listed for providers to use during the exam or sent to the patient through the patient portal.
NOTE: Patient Education must be recorded in an Exam to be counted for meaningful use.
1. Assessment codes are added to the Exam
2. Education materials auto-populate under Patient Counseling
- Select the box to send that material to the patient's portal
- Double click on the topic to open up that paragraph/video in a new tab
- Optional: Click the plus sign '+' to add more material
3. To add more material, Search for Material > Preview > double-click or tap to add material to the exam
