Adding an Outside Provider (Care Team Contact) to the EHR
These instructions walk you through adding a "New Contact" to the EHR Care Team directory. Care team contacts can then be added directly to a patient's care team. Building up this communication list is beneficial when making referrals.
1. Click EHR > Load a test patient > click "Care Team" button
2. Click New Contact
You would select "Add Contact" to add an existing care team contact from your current directory of outside providers
3. Fill out any information you have. Use the Magnify glass to search for a provider's secure email
4. Search for secure email by typing in information and clicking Search.
NOT ALL PROVIDERS have a secure email. You can still add them as an outside provider without it.
