How do I Edit Diagnosis Codes, Pointers and Modifiers in an Open Claim?

1. Locate the claim you wish to edit and click on the Claim#

2. The claim summary opens

The claim summary opens > click the Edit button

3. Scroll to the Diagnosis Codes section (Box 21)

  1. Click the diagnostic code you wish to change or Click the plus sign '+' to Add Diagnosis

4. Add Diagnoses window open

  1. Enter the the new or different code
  2. Select either ICD10 depending on the code. 
  3. Click the Add ICD button. The new code will be added.

5. Notice the code has a different Reference. Click Save.

Note: If you were correcting and replacing a code, you would want to Remove the incorrect code.

6. Click the Edit button to change the Diagnosis Pointer or Modifier

7.1. Select the Pointer and click the right arrow to move

7.2. Click Save

8. Click on the Diagnosis Pointer to change. Click on the Add button under Modifiers

9. Use Ctrl + Click to select multiple Modifiers. Click Save

Note: you will not see the added modifiers until you Save
