How to Edit Remit
This article walks through the steps of editing a remittance once it has been posted.
1. Before you can edit a Remittance, make sure that feature is turned on
2. Go to Admin > Users > Profile
3. Select the user you would like to view, and make sure "Yes" is selected
4. If you do not have that feature turned on you will see this message
5. To Edit a Remittance select the Claims Tab > Remittance
6. Update any fields with criteria to help you locate the claim > click Search
Note: Only remittances that have been posted will have the "edit" feature. If the remittance is in "open"or "in progress" status it will open in an editable state.
7. Click the Edit button for the remittance you wish to edit
8. A pop-up will appear, you must select "yes" to edit
9. You may now edit, then save or re-post the claim
Note: Once you select "edit" the remittance will go back to "new" status until you post it again.
10. When you edit the remit and post, the original payment amount is removed from the Ledger and Reports. It now shows the new payment amount with the new date.
For example: you post an EOB for $100.00 on 8/17/2020. It was supposed to be for $102.00. You edit and repost on 8/19/2020 for $102.00. The original payment is removed from the ledger and reports and now shows 8/19/2020 for $102.00
