How to Setup Split Codes Per Insurance
Some insurances require certain CPT/HCPCs codes to be billed with a quantity of one. With this functionality you can default which CPT code or type of CPT code can be split into single line items on the invoice/claim.
1. Admin > Setup > Insurances > Select Insurance
2. Select Split Codes
3. Select which products or professional services you would like split
For example, if I would like the polycarbonate code split, I would check the material box so that the code is automatically split on the Invoice.
If I wanted to split a professional service code, I would type in or use the dropdown and select the code.
4. Save
You can save these changes and copy them to another plan or to another Insurance Carrier. If you don't want to copy these settings to another plan or carrier just select Save.
