How to Link Patients

1. Select the Patient tab and make sure you have the patient record displayed > Click Edit Patient

Note: This will be the patient you wish to link to another patient or responsible contact

2. Scroll down to Linked Accounts > click Add

Scroll down to Linked Accounts > click Add

3. Search for the patient  (or responsible contact)

Next, perform one of the following:

  • If the individual is already in the database, click their name
  • If the individual is not in the database, click New

 

Search for the patient  (or responsible contact)

4. Select the relationship to the patient.

  1. Select Relationship to Patient
  2. If this person will be the Responsible Contact and is not a patient click the checkbox for Responsible A/C
  3. Click Save
Select the relationship to the patient.

5. The patient displays as linked

The patient displays as linked

If the linked patient is responsible for payment you must set "Responsible for" field to "Yes"

  • Click in the field > click the dropdown > select Yes

6. Make sure to SAVE the edits to the patient record
