How to Enter Benefit Authorization for Vision Insurance

Insurance Benefits can be accessed from the Patient record, the Invoice, Claim, and EOB

1. From Patients Summary > Click Benefits > Click Insurance

2. Benefits window opens > Click New Benefit Request

3. Click Enter Benefit

4. Click Authorization > Enter all fields

5. Enter at least one type and information for the Eligibility

6. Click Save

7. Click Close

8. Benefit Authorization and number are now entered

11. The linked appointment medical/vision benefit can be viewed within the Scheduler Tab > Appointments Sub Tab – Medical/Vision Insurance Status. The red icon indicates that there is not a Medical/Vision Payer benefits associated with the appointment while the green icon indicates that there is one.
