How to Set Up Uprise to Scan Documents into the Patients Tab
Before you can begin scanning directly into a Patient's Record through the Documents tab, you will need to download and install the Kofax WebCapture Installer. This is a one time process.
NOTE: In order to work with your Uprise site, your scanner model must support the TWAIN driver set. Not all scanner models are TWAIN-compliant, but this is a requirement that must be installed on any scanner before the following one-time setup instructions can be completed within your Uprise site.
Scanning documents directly into Uprise requires a Windows 10 and up Operating System (Mac OS is currently not supported.) Please confirm that your hardware and systems meet these requirements before you begin the scanner setup process outlined below.
1. Click Documents on the left sidebar of the Patients tab.
2. Click Setup Scanning
3. The installer will download and be accessible in the lower left corner of your Chrome Browser > Double Click the Kofax .WebCapture.Installer.ini to begin installation
If the Kofax .WebCapture.Installer.ini does not download you can use the link found in the message box.
4. The Kofax Web Capture Service will install. After installation, you will need to refresh the browser.
5. Navigate back to the Patient and Documents tab. The Kofax service will have located your scanner and you can now begin scanning.
